Kapadokya

Assalamualaikum!

It was a very fast decision as we agreed to join a short-trip to Kapadokya, one of the most famous tourism place in Turkey. This trip arranged by a student organization, which provided a very low budget for a round-trip and Kapadokya city tour program. As the final exam for most of us had been finished already, well, this might sound like a bit refreshing! (refreshing mulu...)

The trip would be carried by bus. Hours before the departure, me and the other Indonesian students gathered in one's apartment and cooked for the trip meals. Eating Indonesian food was always been a special moment every time we gathered, even only for a simple dishes such as omelet indomie, nasi putih, sosis, and sambal ulek.

I do really want to have a cooking ability, for real :(

We had to go through 6-7 hours sitting inside the bus to get into Kapadokya. Luckily the trip was on the night time, thus we could only spent our time sleeping and then woke up in the next morning arrived at Kapadokya.

Honestly, I am bad at explaining nature magnificence; but this one is gorgeous. People said this place had a ‘moonscape’ landscape beauty. Witnessed it with my own eyes felt as If I was standing and staring in the other planet. Kapadokya presents a very unique-shaped valley, canyon, hills and rock formation. Not to mention the caves and the underground buildings built on up to 3000 years ago. Some viewpoints let us to see those nature phenomenon from above, or even to go though and inside it.

Lets dive into some photos!

Lunch came and we stopped at a restaurant. But instead of getting in, we sat on the bench in front of the restaurant and ate our trip meals! Within the cold wind and the cloudy sky, any place could be a perfect spot to do picnic :p

The trip ended as we headed home to Samsun at about 3 pm, repeating the night trip. It was raining a little, with a thick fog appeared along the way. Overall, it was such a memorizing trip. Although we couldn’t see any hot air baloon, but the scenery was never dissapointed us!
